Inappropriate Comments

To the Editor:

I understand that during the finance board meeting Monday night, some inappropriate racial comments were made regarding the impact of reopening schools after "mothballing."

I am shocked that a board member would say such things and more shocked that the other members would not immediately move to strike those comments and ask the member to retract them.

Can this be Newtown?
