‘Essentials First’ At RCN, Thursday

The Resiliency Center of Newtown (RCN) announces “Essentials First,” a workshop on essential oils and their effects on emotional and physical health, to take place Thursday, September 4, from 1 to 2:30 pm.

Kristen Van Wey will present the program, which will share the therapeutic values of essential oils and supplements. Attendees will learn how to cleanse, support, and heal from the inside out. The program will have a focus on supporting emotional health and PTSD through the use of essential oils.

“Knowledge is power and by learning foundational health principles we can simplify wellness and create quality of life,” said Ms Van Wey. “I will show you how you can work with emotional, physical, and spiritual blocks and teach ways to integrate the oils, supplements, and lifestyle into a successful protocol specific to your condition.

“My goal is to empower you and to have a confident healer in every home,” she added.

Ms Van Wey joined doTerra as a wellness advocate in December 2012 after the oils played a significant role in her healing from Lyme disease. Since then, she has started a nonprofit organization that takes doTerra oils to Haiti every six weeks.

In addition, Ms Van Wey taught 35 trauma specialists how to integrate the oils into their sessions after 12/14.

She has been a massage therapist for 26 years and specializes in energy medicine, energy psychology, fingerprint analysis, and teaching a whole system approach to vitality.

There is no cost for the workshop, but reservations are required. Call 203-364-9750 or send e-mail to JHolguin@resiliencycenterofnewtown.org for reservations or additional information.

Light refreshments will be served.

The Resiliency Center is at 153 South Main Street, with entrance through the lower parking lot.
