NEW YORK CITY — Extending a helping hand in the aftermath of 12/14, Republic Records will sponsor an auction billed as “Music For Newtown.” Numerous artists have donated special limited edition items to the cause, and all proceeds will benefit The Sandy Hook School Support Fund, which will support longterm recovery needs of the Newtown community.
The auction is set to go live on its own site (MusicForNewtown.org) March 25-27.
Beth Bogdan, the senior director of artistic relations for Republic Records, created “Music For Newtown” in order to unite the community and give back to all those affected by this event. In order to give back to her hometown, she orchestrated the online auction and is spearheading the charitable cause.
