Sandy Hook Fathers Cycle 192 Miles In Pan Mass Challenge

Four Sandy Hook fathers, John Principi, Brendan Duffy, Matt Murphy, and Jeremy O’Connell, cycled 192 miles in the Pan Mass Challenge August 3 and 4. The ride took the cyclists from Sturbridge to Bourne on day one and then Bourne to Provincetown day two.

This PMC cycling team which donned the name Sandy Hook Strong, has raised more than $20,000. All of these donations go directly to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute of Boston. Fundraising continues through October 1 at which time the Pan Mass Challenge founder and executive director Billy Starr will present the PMC’s 2013 donation to Dana Farber. This year’s goal is $38 million.

Anyone interested in supporting Team Sandy Hook Strong in their fundraising effort to battle cancer can learn more about the PMC and its mission at www.pmc.org. Donations may be made directly to Team Sandy Hook Strong or individual riders at this link http://www.pmc.org/profile/TS0255.
