Newtown High School’s boys’ swimming and diving team capped off the regular season with a 94-81 win over Joel Barlow of Redding on February 15.
NHS finished the season with a 7-3 record.
“I thought the kids swam well on Senior Night, especially the senior class. This was a great way to end the duel meet season and get ready for championship season,” said Newtown Coach Zach Gauvin, whose squad will participate in the South-West Conference championships beginning with the diving finals February 27 at Pomperaug High in Southbury, and culminating with the swim events March 1 at Masuk in Monroe.
