Electors and citizens qualified to vote at Town Meetings of the Town of Newtown are invited to participate in a Special Town Meeting on Wednesday, March 20, at 7 pm in the Council Chamber of the Newtown Municipal Center for the following purposes:
*To receive a communication from the Board of Selectmen with respect to a resolution entitled “Resolution Providing For A Special Appropriation In The Amount Of $1,550,000 For Boiler Replacement, HVAC And Related Infrastructure Upgrades Phase I-Construction At Newtown Hawley School And Authorizing The Issuance Of $1,550,000 Bonds Of The Town To Meet Said Special Appropriation And Pending The Issuance Thereof The Making Of Temporary Borrowings For Such Purpose”.
*To consider and act upon a resolution entitled “Resolution Providing For A Special Appropriation In The Amount Of $1,550,000 For Boiler Replacement, HVAC And Related Infrastructure Upgrades Phase I-Construction At Newtown Hawley School And Authorizing The Issuance Of $1,550,000 Bonds Of The Town To Meet Said Special Appropriation And Pending The Issuance Thereof The Making Of Temporary Borrowings For Such Purpose”.
