Occupation: Most recently, I became a bus driver for All-Star Transportation. It’s fun and it’s crazy. I’m a registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance, since 2008. I’ve been sharing my yoga practice mostly through Newtown Continuing Education. I also am a licensed real estate person, working as a referral agent.
Family: My husband, Bob, and I have been married for 19 years. We have three boys. Scott is 17, Jack is 12, and Rory is 10 years old.
WALLINGFORD — Country music star Scotty McCreery’s career has taken a serious upward trajectory in recent weeks. And fans will have a chance to celebrate with him when he rolls into Connecticut on December 4.
W. Ogden Booker will direct the Newtown Choral Society in a performance of Handel’s Jubilee and Bach’s Magnificat at the Newtown Congregational Church, 4 pm, on Sunday, December 10. This will be the first public performance of the church’s newly refurbished organ.
Congratulations to the Newtown High School football team for winning the South-West Conference Title last Thursday night, November 20, shutting out Brookfield 42-0. This win makes Title #3 in a row for our local high school team. Two paws up to all of the team members, coaches, parents, and fans!
During the weekend of November 22-23, dog lovers descended on the “Thanksgiving Classic Cluster” in Springfield, Mass. This cluster of dogs shows is presented by the Springfield, South Windsor, Holyoke, and Windham County kennel clubs who join together to offer four days of dog shows at the Eastern States Exposition, home of the iconic The Big E fair. Amongst the more than 2,500 purebred dogs representing 167 breeds at the shows, were dozens of darling puppies.
