BETHEL — SCORE and Newtown Savings Bank are co-sponsoring a series of workshops in partnership with Bethel Public Library and Bethel Chamber of Commerce. The series of four free workshops is open to business owners and others interested in running a business.
The series will begin Tuesday, February 26, with “Do You Really Need a Business Plan? Yes, You Do and Here’s Why.”
Presenter Chris Tse, a trained engineer and retired executive, will outline the critical components of a business plan, and explain how to steer the concept of a business into an operative plan.
The series continues Tuesday, March 26, with “How to Get Free Publicity for Your Business or Organization.” Presenter Barbara Branagan-Mitchell, director of Branagan Communications Consultants, will share expert tips for publicizing a business through ongoing media placement, writing press releases, and working effectively with editors and reporters.
These first two workshops of the series will be held at Best Western Plus, 11 Stony Hill Road, from 6 to 7:30 pm. Registration is required.
