Newtown Continuing Education announced this week it has limited openings available in the following classes.
“Life Energies,” to be offered on Wednesday, April 10, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, will help coursegoers sense and change energies in everyday situations, according to the course description. Cost is $39.
“Calling All Women,” on Thursday, April 11, from 7 to 9 pm, for $29, will inform attendees about financial decisionmaking, how to get organized, and how to evaluate life needs, not just money.
“Reiki, I, II, II” courses, offered in three classes on Mondays from 6 to 9 pm, starting April 22, will instruct students on Reiki and meditation for $89.
“Memoir Writing,” a four-course class to offered on Mondays, April 22 to May 13, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, for $79, will help students dig through memories and turn them into memoirs.
“Special Needs: Caring for Loved Ones Under Unique Circumstances,” on Tuesday, April 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, for $29, will help participants caring for loved ones with special needs understand the financial issues, government programs, and various planning tools to provide peace of mind and best care for the loved one.
“Successful Aging,” also on April 23, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm, $29, is designed for seniors, Boomers and their family members, and will cover the components necessary to achieve a “successful aging” lifestyle.
“Oriental Brushwork Painting,” a five-course class to offered on Wednesdays, April 24 to May May 22, from 6 to 8 pm, for $119, will teach participants how to paint four classic plants: bamboo, orchid, cherry blossom, and chrysanthemums. A material fee of $25 is payable to the instructor at the first class.
