Town Players To Host ‘Lend Me A Tenor’ Auditions

Town Players of Newtown announces auditions for Lend Me A Tenor by Ken Ludwig on Sunday, September 7, from 5 to 9 pm, and on Monday, September 8, from 7-9 pm.

In this fast-paced farce, two men are calling themselves “Il Stupendo” for a one-night only performance of Othello at the Cleveland Grand Opera Company. Get ready for a hilarious, unforgettable night at the opera.

Timothy Huebenthal of Southbury will direct.

The production calls for four men and four women. Actors should read the play in advance and be ready to read sides from the script. No appointment is necessary. All roles are available.

Rehearsals begin the week of September 14, and the production runs Friday and Saturday evenings, October 31-November 22, with two Sunday matinees.

Auditions will take place at The Little Theatre, 18 Orchard Hill Road in Newtown.
