EverWonder Children’s Museum, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization aiming to open a children’s museum in Newtown, is opening The EverWonder Experience on Saturday, April 6, at 31 Pecks Lane.
The EverWonder Experience, a miniature version of a children’s museum, will be open to the public, free of charge, through August. Throughout the spring and summer, children are invited to visit and participate in science and art activities, as well as to enjoy a hands-on exhibit entitled “Cool Moves: The Artistry of Motion.” On opening day, children will be able to paint a canvas that will be hung in the space for everyone to enjoy.
“We are thrilled to be able to open the doors to The EverWonder Experience this weekend,” said Kristin Chiriatti, board president. “The space gives our community just a small taste of what a permanent children’s museum in Newtown could be. We are grateful to all the individuals and businesses that partnered with us to make this happen.”
The EverWonder Experience will be open from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturdays, and from noon to 3 pm on Sundays. The latest schedule of events can be found at www.everwondermuseum.org.
EverWonder Children’s Museum is an emerging children’s museum in Newtown, aimed at children through the age of 12. It will be a place where children can learn about science, nature, and their general surroundings in a fun and playful environment.
