Kennel Club Donates Funds To Police K-9 Unit

The Newtown Kennel Club has donated $1,800 to the K-9 unit of the Newtown Police Department to be used for food, equipment, and supplies for the department’s German shepherd Saint, police said.

Pam Pearl, representing the kennel club, presented a check in that amount to K-9 Officer Felicia Figol and Saint at the recent opening ceremonies for the town Parks and Recreation Department’s new dog park at Fairfield Hills, which is known as Park and Bark. The dog park on Old Farms Road near the Brian J. Silverlieb Animal Care and Control Center.
