Katherina Bobinac Jelacic

Katherina Bobinac Jelacic, 91, a longtime resident of Huntington and beloved wife of the late Stephen Jelacic, died February 21, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Sinac Lika, Croatia, January 18, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Mile and Katica Simatovic Bobinac. She immigrated to the United States in 1958.

Survivors include her four loving children, Gloria Milas and her husband, Gary, of Sandy Hook, Mary Miller and her husband, Gary, of Stratford, Peter Jelacic and his wife, Ghislaine, of Croatia, and Walter Jelacic and his wife, Barbara, of Shelton; and ten grandchildren. She was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters.

 Mrs Jelacic was a devout Christian who loved her church and her God and was a prayer warrior for all. She enjoyed gardening and was well known for her famous cookies, especially at Christmas time.

Funeral services took place February 27. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
