Easter Baskets From WIN

It was the first time in 16 years of putting together Easter baskets for charity that Women Involved in Newtown (WIN) has done so with snow on the ground, said member Mandy Monaco, but that did not stop members from creating and delivering 180 Easter baskets, over a five-hour period, Thursday, March 21. Thanks to the generosity of WIN members, friends, and neighbors who donated baskets, Easter grass, and candy, and donations of stuffed toys from Msgr Robert Weiss of St Rose of Lima and the Town of Newtown, the baskets were delivered to the AIDS Interfaith Ministry, Harmony House, and Healing Hearts, all of Danbury, and to Newtown Social Services for distribution.
