    Josephine Polvere Groholy, 92, died peacefully March 13, in Southbury. She was born April 12, 1921, to Rafael and Caroline Polvere.

  • Elizabeth Grace Whittle

    Elizabeth Grace Whittle, 89, of Southbury, died March 14, at St Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. She was the widow of Donald G. Whittle, Sr. She was born May 20, 1924, in Shelton, and was a daughter of the late John Henry and Ann Elizabeth (Anderson) Cotter. She was a long-time resident of Newtown before moving to Milford, and later to Southbury, 20 years ago.

    Richard “Dick” Hall, 84, died March 15, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his “Valentine,” Ellen. Mr Hall was a longtime resident of Newtown.

  • Raymond L. Dawkins

    Raymond L. Dawkins, 87, a longtime resident of Trumbull, died March 10, at Bridgeport Hospital. He was born in Litchfield, Ill., to Raymond G. and Hilda Dawkins.

  • Thomas Richard Judge

    Thomas Richard Judge, 80, of Newtown, died peacefully in his sleep March 10, at Masonicare at Newtown. He was born in Gloversville, N.Y., May 28, 1933, a son of Thomas and Dorothy (Shearer) Judge. Mr Judge was the husband of Dolores (Cray) Judge. The Judges lived in Newtown for the past 35 years.

  • Thomas J. Ruddy

    Thomas J. Ruddy, 58, died February 24, at his home in Newtown. He was born in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin, France, October 25, 1955, and was a resident of Newtown since 1957. He was a graduate of Newtown High School, Class of 1973.

  • Jeanne Maurice

    Jeanne Maurice, 84, of Newtown, died peacefully March 6, surrounded by the people who loved her the most. She was born in Boston, Mass., but lived the majority of her life in New York City, where she was the happiest.

  • Thomas J. Paternoster

    Thomas J. Paternoster, 70, of Sandy Hook, beloved husband of Charlene (Walters) Paternoster, died March 7. He was born in Bridgeport, May 2, 1943, and was the son of the late Louis and Virginia (Mazzeo) Paternoster.

    Edward Farnsworth Wallace, 81, of Sandy Hook and formerly of Pawtucket, R.I. and Ocala, Fla., died March 3, of complications arising from pneumonia.

  • Kenneth L. Bigham

    Kenneth L. Bigham, 79, died at The Springs of Watermark, Southbury, Thursday, March 6. He was born December 31, 1935, the son of Frank and Florence Grumman Bigham, and was the husband of Barbara Mann Bigham. Residents of Newtown for 40 years, the Bighams moved to Oxford Greens in 2006.
