    Frederick Walter Benton, 79, of Waldorf, Md., died August 7, of natural causes, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn. He was born August 28, 1933, in Greenwich, the son of Edith Elizabeth and Frederick Harold Benton.

    Norman Donald Westlake, 75, Jupiter, Fla., died August 2. He was born September 28, 1937, in Amesbury, Mass, to Henry and Marie Westlake. Mr Westlake enjoyed a long teaching and coaching career at Newtown High School.

    Walter T. Dolan, 75, of Trumbull, died August 8, at St Vincent's Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Haven to Walter and Veronica (Moran) Dolan, now deceased, and was a long time Trumbull resident.

    Nicole Cheri (McGrath) McDonald, 25, of Seymour, died unexpectedly July 29, as the result of a car accident. She was the wife of Brian McDonald. She was born in Denver, Colo., March 25, 1988, daughter of Jeffery and Cheryl (Feeney) McGrath. She attended Newtown schools, graduating in 2006.

  • Nancy V. Pecora

    Nancy V. (LoParco) Pecora, 74, of Greenwich, died July 24, due to complications after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Greenwich, to Horace and Filomena “Fanny” LoParco.

  • Ines O. Freuler

    Ines Freuler, 85, of Stamford, forever known to her family as “Schatzie,” died July 25, a short month after her birthday. Born in Bern, Switzerland, June 15, 1928, she immigrated to New York on the Queen Elizabeth in 1950. She always told her family how excited she was to see the Statue of Liberty for the first time.
