Police report that after he learned that they held a warrant for his arrest, a male under age 18 went to the police station on the evening of September 24 and was charged with five counts of first-degree sexual assault.
The serious charge is a Class B felony which is punishable by at least one year of imprisonment when incarceration is imposed in a conviction.

On Tuesday, at approximately 8:53 am, Newtown police responded to a report of a home invasion involving a possible sexual assault at 31 Berkshire Road (Route 34).
“This is a two-family home [and] one of the units is currently undergoing renovation and unoccupied,” Police Chief Michael Kehoe said in a statement.

Police report that at about 4:10 pm on April 25, motorcyclist John Allen, 58, of Shelton was riding a 2010 Victory V-10 eastward on Berkshire Road, as motorist Pastor Estrada, 59, of Waterbury, who was driving a 2001 Saturn SC-1 coupe, was attempting to make a left turn out from a driveway at 44 Berkshire Road onto westbound Berkshire Road.

After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, William Bruno, 43, of 1 Borough Lane turned himself over to police at the police station about 1 pm on February 26 and was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and with risk of injury to a minor through illegal sexual contact, police said.
Police said they held Bruno on $100,000 bail for arraignment on February 27 at Danbury Superior Court.
