Occupation: I am a teacher at St Rose Preschool. I’ve been with St Rose School for 11 years. I am so blessed that I am able to get up each morning and work at a job that I so love. The children are a great gift to me.

Family: I’ve been married to Joe for 27 years. Our son Joseph is 24 and an auditor for Ernst & Young in Stamford. Michelle is 21 and just completed her junior year at Marist in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Matthew is 18, and has graduated this year from Fairfield Prep.

Occupation: I’ve been an antiques dealer for over 40 years, and I’ve owned four shops, including one in Newtown, in the 1980s. It was in the building on the corner of Pecks Lane, where the pasta shop is now. The building there then was Mrs Doss’s Antiques, and a hot dog stand before that. The fire department burned it down as an exercise, and then we built there. I still sell antiques, privately.

Occupation: I am the adult program director at the C.H. Booth Library, as of May 1. That entails finding interesting people who have something to contribute to our community to come in and present. It can be anyone from performers to authors to special speakers. On Sundays, I work at my brother’s Good Luck Food Truck at the Elephant’s Trunk flea market in New Milford. I’m an artist, too, and before we moved to Newtown I worked for magazines in New York City doing picture research.

Occupation: I’m a physician assistant at Newtown MediSpa on South Main Street. I do all of the injectables for the practice, chemical peels, and laser hair removal. We’ve been at this location since December, but I’ve been a PA for 18 years, in women’s health for the first ten years and emergency medicine. This is my happy place!

Occupation: I do two things. I’m a team leader for Tastefully Simple. I offer quick, easy, and delicious specialty foods.  The products require no more than two ingredients to be added to them to prepare them. I’m also an office manager for a garage organization in Bethel. We install high-end tech panels in garages.

Family: My husband is Mark. We have two children. Ali is 17 and Andy is 15.

Family: My father, Ted, lived in Rye, N.Y. My mother, Nancy Hough, and her husband, Dunbar, live in Sandy Hook. I have a sister, Katie. She also lives in Sandy Hook. My girlfriend Rachel Berman and I have been together for two years.

  • Snapshot: Alisa Farley

Occupation: I’m the director of communications at Newtown Youth Academy, as of March 1. I just came off a five-year hiatus, staying home with my kids. I didn’t realize how much I had missed contributing to something bigger than my personal life. There’s real satisfaction in working for a nonprofit organization, too.

Occupation: I am the Kids’ Program Manager, at Newtown Youth Academy. I’ve been at NYA since October 2009.

Pets: We don’t have pets, but we currently live with roommates who have two dogs. I guess the dogs are more like our nephews.
