Occupation: I have the good fortune of working with lots of great people at PepsiCo in Somers, N.Y. I’m the senior manager of IT.
Family: I’m blessed to have my wife, Theresa, and two little ones. Madeleine is 8 years old, and Sofia will be 6 years old in January.
Pets: We just got a “Whoodle,” a soft-coated Wheaton terrier and poodle mix. Her name is Frisbee and she’s just 9 weeks old. She’s a little monkey.

Occupation: I was a special education teacher for 43 years, and retired just this past spring. I worked in Nashua, N.H., for the past 12 years, working with students on the spectrum.

Occupation: I do interior design consultation, and am a dealer at Stratford Antiques Center. I have two primary functions, too, with Nora Murphy Country House e-magazine. I do magazine production, and I am developing the e-commerce portion of the website.
Family: My husband, Doug, and I have been married since January 2013, on New Year’s Day.

Occupation: I’m currently a material handler, operating a forklift for a company in Brookfield that handles volatile liquids. I’ve been with the US Army for nine and a half years, and am in the Army Reserve right now.
Family: I have three siblings. My sister Jessica lives in East Lyme. My two brothers are Ryan and Timmy. Ryan is in Branford and Timmy is in Manhattan. My dad, George, lives in New Milford, and my mom, Tona Gaullard, lives in Florida.

Occupation: I am the drug-free communities coordinator for the Newtown Prevention Council. I execute the budget and programs with the help of a supervisory team.
Family: My husband is Thomas. He works in Manhattan every day. We have four children. Tommy is 17; Jake is 15; Tristan is 11; and Karly is 9 years old.

Occupation: I’m a children’s book editor and writer. I worked in publishing at various companies in New York City for 25 years, and I’m currently a freelance editor and writer. I’ve done a lot of children’s book writing for Random House, Disney, Penguin, and others, in which I write about familiar licensed characters from movies and TV. But what I’m just as proud of and enjoyed equally was editing Newbury and Caldecott Award-winning writers such as Katherine Paterson, Avi, Linda Sue Park, and Brian Selznick.

Occupation: I’m a baker and owner of Biscotti Etc LLC in Sandy Hook, which I started in January. I picked up a couple of recipes that my mom had had and I baked only at holidays for my friends, for years. After I left teaching, my friends said, “Sell your biscotti!” I bake them at St John’s Episcopal Church kitchen and sell them through www.biscottietc.com. Before that, I was a middle school teacher out of state and in the area for over 20 years.

Occupation: My business is Linda Burhance Apparel Consultation. I do product development and apparel consulting. I design, I do patterns and tech packs for sizing so that the manufacturer has a standard to go by. I specialize in designing knits. Right now, I’m involved in compression knitware.
Family: I’m married to Frank, for 25 years this next May. We have one son, Noah, who is almost 16 and a sophomore at Kent School.

Occupation: I am a lead inspector for Stonehollow Home Inspections. We have an office in Stamford, and I have an office in Newtown. I’ve been doing this for about five years. My previous career was in television lighting in New York City. I worked for the Martha Stewart Show, Food Network, and episodes of Chopped. But they were 12-hour days and I didn’t get to see my family a lot.
