  • Working Women’s Forum To Host Unity Project Founder

    The Working Women’s Forum, an association of local professionals and entrepreneurs, will feature Dr John Woodall and his program “You’re Stronger Than You Might Think” on Wednesday, November 12, at The Villa Restaurant, 4 Riverside Road.

    Networking and dinner begin at 6 pm followed by the talk.

    Dr Woodall plans to discuss how to strengthen skills individuals already have by learning from the very best scientific research and the secret skills used by the most resilient people.

  • Grabarz To Talk Floral Trends At Networking Forum

    The Working Women’s Forum, an association of local professionals and entrepreneurs, will feature “Beautifying Your Space With Today’s Floral Trends,” with guest Judy Grabarz, owner of Newtown Florist.

    Scientific research has proven that flowers can improve one’s mood. Ms Grabarz will demonstrate quick and easy ways to group plants in areas of the home and office for interest and texture, as well as how to design flowers with current trends.

  • WWF To Host Career Paths Discussion

    The Working Women’s Forum, an association of local professionals and entrepreneurs, will feature a talk titled “If I Wasn’t (What I’m Doing Now), I Probably Would Be...” on Wednesday, May 14, at The Villa Restaurant, 4 Riverside Road in Sandy Hook.

    Networking and light dinner begin at 6 pm, followed by discussion of career paths. 

    This will be the last WWF meeting until September.

  • Government Resources For Small Business At WWF, April 9

    The Working Women’s Forum, an association of local professionals and entrepreneurs, will feature  “An Overview of Local, State and Federal Government Resources for Small Business” on Wednesday, April 9, at The Villa Restaurant, 4 Riverside Road in Sandy Hook. 

    Networking and light dinner begin at 6 pm followed by guest speakers Betsy Paynter, Jean Leonard, and Nelson Merchan. 

  • Calderbank Speaking About Speaking At WWF, March 12

    The Working Women’s Forum, an association of local professionals and entrepreneurs, will feature “Refining Your Public Speaking: Deliver Your Message Effectively” with Newtown resident and IT professional Alenda Calderbank on Wednesday, March 12, at The Villa Restaurant, 4 Riverside Road. 

    Networking and light dinner begin at 6 pm, followed by the guest speaker.

    The Working Women’s Forum, an association of local professionals and entrepreneurs, will feature “Putting The Puzzle Together To Live a Wellness Life” at its February 12 meeting. 

  • Lisa Swain To Speak At Next Working Women’s Forum

    The Working Women’s Forum, an association of local professionals and entrepreneurs, will feature a talk entitled “What You Eat Really Does Matter” on Wednesday, January 8, at The Villa Restaurant, 4 Riverside Road.

    Educator Lisa Swain will be discussing all the ways that nutrition impacts health, including the importance of a plant-based diet, which foods and beverages to avoid, and how the USDA’s current guidelines can improve every aspect of health.
