    The Working Women’s Forum, an association of local professionals and entrepreneurs, will feature a talk entitled “What You Eat Really Does Matter” on Wednesday, January 8, at The Villa Restaurant, 4 Riverside Road.

    Educator Lisa Swain will be discussing all the ways that nutrition impacts health, including the importance of a plant-based diet, which foods and beverages to avoid, and how the USDA’s current guidelines can improve every aspect of health.

    The Working Women’s Forum (WWF), an association of local professionals and entrepreneurs will feature a program on “Blogging 101 and Beyond,” by Susan Jensen Smith, during its first meeting of the 2013-14 season on September 11. WWF meets at The Villa Restaurant, 4 Riverside Road in Sandy Hook.

  • ‘Networking Only’ At Next WWF Meeting

    The next Working Women’s Forum (WWF) gathering, on Wednesday, June 12, will be a networking only event. It will also be the final meeting before the group’s summer break.

    WWF is an organization of women founded in 2005 based in Newtown but encompassing those across the western Connecticut area. The group hosts monthly meetings, September through June, to grow professionally and personally through education, networking and the sharing of ideas and experiences.

    Ms Hurd is the founder of VentureMom.com, a website devoted to featuring moms who have started their own businesses.

    The program will be Wednesday, March 13, at The Villa Restaurant, 4 Riverside Road. Networking and appetizers begin at 6 pm, followed by the evening's guest speakers.
