  • "The Joy Of Art" Continues, Now At NCC

    "The Joy of Art," free art classes led by artist Joy Hoffman, have relocated to Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street.
     
    Ms Hoffman has been leading classes in Newtown for the past two years. She began at C.H. Booth Library, and then collaborated with HealingNewtown.
     
    Although the HealingNewtown project has disbanded, Ms Hoffman continues to offer her free classes for children pre-K to eighth grade.
  • Lizzy Rockwell At Library For Two Programs, June 11

    On Wednesday, June 11, the ongoing series The Joy of Art with Joy Hoffman at C.H. Booth Library will host a special guest: children’s author and illustrator Lizzy Rockwell.

    Ms Rockwell is the illustrator of numerous books and games for children, and is the author and illustrator of Good Enough to Eat, Hello Baby, The Busy Body Book and Plants Feed Me.

  • A Modern Pop Art Experience

    Michael Albert, an artist based in White Plains, N.Y., will be bringing his Modern Pop Art Experience program to Newtown Congregational Church on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 20, from 2 to 3 and 4 to 5 pm.
