The problem is, it remains unclear just how big the controversial project proposed by 79 Church Hill Road, LLC, would be.

  • Developer Sues, Seeking To Expand Sewer District

    A land development firm has sued the Water & Sewer Authority (WSA), seeking to have a judge order the WSA to expand the municipal sanitary sewer service district so that all of a 35-acre parcel at 79 Church Hill Road is placed within the sewer district, not just a three-acre section of the parcel, as is now the case.

    The Water & Sewer Authority (WSA) has rejected, without prejudice, a developer’s application for preliminary approval to extend municipal sanitary sewer lines to serve a currently undeveloped 35-acre property near Exit 10 of Interstate 84, where the developer wants to construct a high-density, multifamily housing complex which has an “affordable housing” component.

  • Town Review Of Castle Hill Housing Proposal Starts

    Water and Sewer Authority (WSA) Chairman Richard Zang explained this week that a public hearing, started on March 21, was the first step in a long review process for a local developer’s proposal for a cluster housing complex off Castle Hill Road.

    Mr Zang referred to GLT Development Corporation’s proposal to construct up to 136 cluster-style individual single-family houses at a 136-acre site at #20 and #60 Castle Hill Road.

    GLT is seeking to buy the land from the Bridgeport Roman Catholic Diocesan Corporation.
