  • Flagpole Photographers Meeting, Program Updates

    On Thursday, March 19, Flagpole Photographers Camera Club will host a general meeting and photo competition.

    March’s assigned subject is “Bridges.” Club members will be challenged to showcase their creativity for capturing various photography of bridges. There will also be competitions in Digital, Black & White and Open Color.

  • ‘Getting To Know Your Camera’

    On Thursday, February 5, Flagpole Photographers Camera Club will host a hands-on program. “Getting To Know Your Camera” will feature an open discussion on photography tips and tricks, and improving photographs with one's own camera.

  • Camera Club To Host Competition, Hands On Program

    On Thursday, January 15, Flagpole Photographers Camera Club will host its first general meeting and photo competition of the new year.

    January’s assigned subject is “Animals (non-domesticated).” Club members will be challenged to showcase their creativity for capturing animal photography. There will also be competitions in Digital, Black & White and Open Color.

  • Local Camera Club To Host New England Competition

    Flagpole Photographers Camera Club will sponsor its first New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) Fall Competition for Digital Projected Images on Thursday, November 20, at C.H. Booth Library.

    NECCC is made up of over 80 camera clubs located in Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont. The club hosts a series of interclub competitions in the fall, winter and spring.

  • Flagpole Photographers Exhibition, Program Updates

    Flagpole Photographers Camera Club is continuing to showcase its Fifth Annual “Newtown And Beyond” Photo Exhibit at Newtown Municipal Center. On view at 3 Primrose Street, within the Fairfield Hills campus, the exhibit showcases over 100 photos by members of the Flagpole Photographers Camera Club.

  • Flagpole Photographers Camera Club Programs, Annual Exhibition

    Flagpole Photographers is a local non-profit group that enables members to share their images and expertise, to learn and grow in their photography, and to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow photographers. Members are from diverse backgrounds, with photographic skills ranging from beginning novices to professional photographers.

    On Thursday, May 29, the club will host a “Program Night,” featuring an open discussion on photography tips and tricks on shooting portraits. All levels of camera enthusiasts are encouraged to attend.

  • Flagpole Photographers Program, Annual Exhibition Approaching

    On Thursday, May 15, Flagpole Photographers Camera Club will host its May competition with an assigned subject of “Main Street, Newtown.”

    Members will have to take a photo somewhere between Ram Pasture and Currituck Road to qualify.

  • Photography Club Has Program, Annual Exhibition Coming Up

    Flagpole Photographers Camera Club will host a general meeting and members’ photo competition on Thursday, April 17. The meeting will include a guest speaker on how to enter digital images into competition. The public is invited to join members of the local photography club for the program, to be held in the lower meeting room of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street.

  • Camera Club Programs Announced

    Flagpole Photographers Camera Club has a pair of programs planned during upcoming weeks.

    On Thursday, March 20, the club will host a general meeting and photo competition beginning at 7:30 pm. March’s assigned subject is “Birds.” Member photographers will be challenged to showcase their creativity for capturing bird photography. There will also be competitions in Black & White and Open Color.

  • Nocturnal Photography To Be Discussed At Next Flagpole Photographers Program

    On Thursday, March 6, at 7:30 pm, Flagpole Photographers Camera Club will sponsor a lecture on nocturnal photography by Mark Bowie in the Alexandria Room of Edmond Town Hall.
