    UPDATE (May 14): Flagpole Radio Cafe Co-Producer Martin Blanco has announced that Christine Lavin will preside over a knitting circle at 6 pm May 18, before the show.  “Be sure to bring  your needles. Participation is free and open to anyone with a ticket to the subsequent performance,” said Mr Blanco.

  • Flagpole Radio Café Getting Ready To Return

    The Flagpole Radio Café will return to the Edmond Town Hall on Saturday, May 18, marking the first presentation in nearly a year.

    The Flagpole Radio Café is an engaging show created by Jim Allyn, Martin Blanco, and Barbara Gaines in conjunction with Newtown Cultural Arts Commission. It features music by Jim Allyn and The Flagpole Radio Café Orchestra, a dynamic ensemble created for the show; and radio-style comedy sketches by The Flagpole Shakespeare Repertory Theatre.

  • A Concert Of Caring, Healing And Togetherness: Peter Yarrow & Friends For Newtown

    RIDGEFIELD — Created with the intention of bringing the Newtown community together in song, spirit, and common purpose, “A Concert Of Caring, Healing And Togetherness” will be performed at The Ridgefield Playhouse at 3 pm on Sunday, February 10. Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul & Mary), Dar Williams, Guy Davis, and Bethany & Rufus will join performers from Newtown’s Flagpole Radio Café to sing songs that follow the evening’s theme. Admission is free, but tickets are required.
