New Lebbon DUI
Police said motorist Nicholas Reppenhagen, 37, of Derby was driving an unspecified vehicle southward on a curve near 16 New Lebbon Road about 11:15 am on November 21, when the vehicle crossed into the opposite lane, went off the left side of the road and then struck a tree.
After investigating, police charged Reppenhagen with driving under the influence and with failure to keep to the right on a curve.

Police report they responded to a call about 4:30 pm on November 11 informing them that that there was an erratic driver traveling in the area near the intersection of Wasserman Way and Trades Lane at Fairfield Hills.
Police said they located the vehicle in question at the town’s Park & Bark dog park at 21 Old Farm Road, after which they investigated. Police said they charged motorist Robert Mosessian, 60, of 7 Round Hill Road with driving under the influence.

Big Truck Vs Flagpole
Police report an accident involving a tractor-trailer truck and the Main Street flagpole.
Police said that trucker John Henry, 47, of Rolling Meadows, Del., was driving a tractor-trailer truck westward on Church Hill Road at about 11:54 am on October 13 and then attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Main Street, but in doing so the truck’s trailer struck the flagpole.

Police report they observed motorist Andrew Bolmer, 27, of 31 Swamp Road driving a vehicle erratically in Dodgingtown at about 10:40 pm on October 17, after which they stopped him on Hattertown Road, near Dodgingtown Road, to investigate.
Police said they charged Bolmer with driving under the influence. Bolmer posted $500 bail and is scheduled for a November 3 arraignment in Danbury Superior Court, police said.

State police report that motorist Paul Foley, 59, of Bedford, N.Y., who was driving a 2000 Mercedes-Benz SUV on westbound Interstate 84, near Exit 10, about 6 pm on October 1, struck the rear end of a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by a 68-year-old Stamford man and then drove away from the scene.
State police said that through the help of a witness, they were able to find Foley, who they then stopped to investigate.

Police report a September 8 incident involving an Emergency 911 telephone call, which later proved to be a hoax.
Police said they responded to Hilario’s Service Center at 131 Mt Pleasant Road (Route 6) in Hawleyville about 5:45 pm, after receiving a report via a 911 call that a burglary had occurred.
Police said their investigation found that the 911 call, which was allegedly made by Alexa Larsen, 47, of 123 Lakeview Terrace, was a hoax.

While traveling east on Interstate 84 at about 6:35 pm on August 27, motorist Roger Mavrides, 59, of Canton, Mass., who was driving a 2010 BMW, struck the rear end of a 2005 Mercedes-Benz driven by Lauren Henson, 27, of Southbury, state police said. There were no injuries. Mavrides received an infraction for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, state police said.

On August 1, motorist Brian Dinse, 22, of Guilford, who was driving a 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck on the Exit 11 off-ramp for westbound Interstate 84, became involved in an accident, state police said.
There were no injuries. State police said they charged Dinse with driving under the influence and with failure to maintain position in the travel lane.
State police released Dinse for a court appearance after he posted a $500 nonsurety bail.

Police report that at about 6 pm on June 22, they received a report that a motorist who was driving a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV in a commercial parking lot on Queen Street, had backed into a parked unoccupied 2013 Lexus GS-350 sedan, damaging the Lexus, and then drove away from the scene.
Police said they investigated the complaint and then located the Jeep’s driver, Linda Sorensen, 67, of 40 Greenleaf Farms Road, at her home.

Police report that at about 3:15 am on June 6, they discovered damage to a utility pole located near 97 South Main Street, indicating to them that a driver had struck the pole and then left the scene of the accident.
