The Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) has approved a gas station/convenience store’s proposal to install an automated car wash at its property to increase the range of services that it offers customers.
Following a public hearing held earlier this month, the P&Z approved modifying a special permit held by Sundaram LLC for 64 Church Hill Road, thus allowing the firm to install the car wash at Newtown Mobil. The one-acre site is on the south side of Church Hill Road, near Exit 10 of Interstate 84.

The Water & Sewer Authority (WSA) has given preliminary approval to a firm’s proposal to install an automated car wash at the Newtown Mobil gas station/convenience store at 64 Church Hill Road, near Exit 10 of Interstate 84.
At an August 14 WSA meeting, agency members endorsed an application from Satyam Sundaram, LLC, which is seeking to install a car wash on its property to increase the range of services that the firm offers customers at its one-acre site.

Get out your flags, slice the watermelon, and fire up the grill — the Fourth of July is just over the horizon. I would never lower myself to be led about on a leash, but my canine friends are not so particular. This past Sunday, dogs and their walkers were out in force, enjoying the truly spring-like weather. There were a number of strollers out solo, as well, or in the case of three visitors to The Pleasance, with their children.
