  • Flash Flood Warning, Other Advisories In Effect For Fairfield County

    This morning's heavy rain arrives with some warnings and advisories from the National Weather Service.

    NWS in Upton, N.Y., issued a Flash Flood Warning at 5:41 am this morning for Fairfield County. The warning also includes western New Haven County, and Westchester and Rockland counties in New York.

    The warning will remain in effect until 9:30 am.

  • Tornado, Flash Flood Warnings Issued

    A Tornado Warning and a Flash Flood Warning have both been issued for Fairfield County.

  • Flash Flood Warning Issued

    The National Weather Service in Upton, N.Y., has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Fairfield County, in effect until 5:45 pm.

    At 3:44 pm NWS doppler radar indicated flash flooding from an area of thunderstorms over the warned area.

    Excessive run-off from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, highways and underpasses. Additionally, country roads and farmlands along the bands of creeks, streams and other low-lying areas are subject to flooding.
