  • Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo To Celebrate Newtown This Saturday

    BRIDGEPORT — Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo invites all Newtown residents to visit the zoo on Saturday, June 14, from 10 am to 4 pm for a reduced admission fee of $5 with proper ID. Meet and greet with friends and neighbors during a fun filled day to please the whole family.

    “Newtown Day gives us the opportunity to say thank you to our neighbors who have continuously supported us throughout the years,” explained Zoo Director Gregg Dancho.

  • Metro North Offering Newtowners 'Yankees Express' Train To Sunday's Game

    With thousands of locals and supporters heading to Newtown Day at Yankee Stadium Sunday, the team and Metro North are urging as many people as possible to commute in by mass transit. To make that a bit more convenient, the railroad is offering a "Yankees Express" train from Bridgeport or Fairfield, directly to the stadium.

  • Limited Yankees Newtown Day Tickets Available

    Over 4,000 tickets have been given to the town by the New York Yankees for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles.

    Many families who had originally requested tickets are now unable to use tickets, so there have been some returns.

  • Yankees To Host Newtown Day On July 7

    UPDATE: As of the mid afternoon on May 31, the available tickets have been spoken for but interested fans may still be in contention for tickets via a waiting list by clicking on the link below.


    The New York Yankees will host Newtown Day when the Yankees host the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday, July 7, at 1:05 pm.
