Newtown High School students involved in the high school’s upcoming production of Peter Pan have been rehearsing for the March 20 to 23 showings of the musical.
Peter Pan tells the story of a boy who lives in a land called Neverland and never grows up.

In order to make Newtown High School’s upcoming production of Peter Pan fly, organizers are looking at funding alternatives, including an online fundraising page and corporate sponsors for the musical.
Last year’s musical production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying won a national honor for its lead actor.

There has been a change of venue for Friday night’s family ice skating party. Instead of the temporary rink at Fairfield Hills, the February 7 event has been moved to the Dickinson Park pavilion rink... weather permitting (it’s been one of those weeks, after all.) There is still time to sign up for the event, which will run from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. DJ Kevin Koschel will provide the music, and there will be a small bonfire. There is no charge, but reservations are requested so that organizers know how much hot chocolate will be needed.

Newtown High School’s March musical production may be months off, but NHS Choral Director Jane Matson has her sight set on the “second star to the right,” with hopes that sponsors can be found to cover costs.
Ms Matson said sponsors are needed as soon as possible for the school’s planned production of Peter Pan, based on the story by the same name by J. M. Barrie.
