  • Former WWE Wrestling Champion To Share Keys To Happiness And Success At NHS

    Marc Mero, a former WCW and WWE Wrestling Champion, will share a message of hope and inspiration with Newtown school district and community members at Newtown High School on September 9, at 7 pm.

    The event will be held in the school’s auditorium, 12 Berkshire Road, Sandy Hook, and it is open to the public.

  • NBA Pro To Share Recovery Experience

    Newtown High School, Newtown Parent Connection, Newtown Prevention Council, and the Newtown Board of Realtors invite the public to hear former NBA player Chris Herren speak about his struggle with substance abuse and his road to recovery on Thursday, April 7, at 7 pm. This presentation is intended for parents and their children (11 years and older), friends and neighbors, and will be held at Newtown High School, 12 Berkshire Road.

    Newtown Parent Connection, in partnership with Brookfield CARES is, once again offering this popular, education day for parents and caregivers who wish to be proactive and learn positive parenting strategies for raising children of all ages.

This year’s sessions will be offered Saturday, March 22, from 8 am to 2:30 pm, at Newtown Middle School. Registration is necessary for attendees and children.

    PEU is offered to parents and caregivers who wish to be proactive and learn positive parenting strengths for raising children of all ages.

  • BOS Approve Grant To Repurpose FFH Duplex For Parent Connection

    "We're off and running!"

    That was the closing comment from First Selectman Pat Llodra after the Board of Selectmen unanimously approved a $500,000 funding resolution, that upon final acceptance, will activate grant funding to re-purpose a vacant duplex at Fairfield Hills for the Newtown Parent Connection.
