  • Boiling Up Support For Gulf Coast Mission

The benefit was held October 17 in the church’s Great Room. The church established a relationship in 2005, when it sent financial support to the United Church of Christ mission following Hurricane Katrina.

  • Low Country Shrimp Boil Planned

    A shrimp boil at Newtown Congregational Church on October 17 will  include a full dinner of shrimp and Andoille sausage or BBQ chicken while raising funds for Back Back Mission in Biloxi, Miss.

  • Shrimp Boil Fundraiser Planned

    The Great Room was filled to capacity last November when Newtown Congregational Church hosted its first shrimp boil to benefit Back Bay Mission. Centerpieces celebrated locations in and around Biloxi, Mississippi, home of the mission, and tables were set family style. The church will host its second annual event this weekend.

  • Back Bay Mission Shrimp Boil Planned

    Newtown Congregational Church, a member of the United Church of Christ, will sponsor an authentic shrimp boil, in partnership with Back Bay Mission, on Saturday, November 2.

    The special event will be at the church, 14 West Street. Dinner will be served at 6:30 and a program will follow at 7:30.

    The evening will feature a dinner of shrimp, seasoned with Back Bay’s special spices.
