  • Great Party, Great Cause

    To the Editor:

Former Marine Dave Silber and his family want to thank VFW Post 308 in Newtown for sponsoring his retirement party and the kickoff of the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots toy drive.

A big thank you to all that attended and an additional thank you for all those who donated to the toy drive during his retirement party. A special thanks to VFW Post 308’s Commander James Rebman for his integral part in organizing the event.

All toys will be collected and distributed to the needy in the area by members of the United States Marine Corps Reserve Detachment of Ridgefield. All those helping the program are volunteers.
