  • Resiliency Center To Celebrate Its Work And Its Future With An ‘Evening Under The Stars’

    Artist Dave Brooker, standing at left, supervised an art project on April 18 that gave children the opportunity to create a large group painting. The art will be sold, in smaller pieces, during a gala fundraising event for The Resiliency Center of Newtown on May 2.

  • Children’s Storytelling Event Planned At Resiliency Center

    The Resiliency Center of Newtown will offer a children’s storytelling event with Joan Almon on Thursday, March 27. The program will begin at 3:15 and is recommended for children ages 5 and up.

  • Successful Music For Newtown Auction Means Programs For Resiliency Center

    Stephanie Cinque, founder of The Resiliency Center of Newtown (RCN), and Beth Bogdan, who organized two Music For Newtown auctions, on February 1. The women were packaging the items that had sold during Ms Bogdan’s second annual auction, which this year served as a fundraiser for RCN. Ms Bogdan is holding a guitar signed by the members of Florida Georgia Line. 

  • Royal Party For Children A Magical Event

    Nearly three dozen children accepted the invitation to the Royal Party hosted by The Resiliency Center of Newtown on Monday, December 23, singing along with music therapist Jennifer Sokira, making crowns, wands, and shields with art therapists Nicole Porter-Willcox and Lisa Donohue-Olivieri, and dining on pizza provided by Franco’s Pizza & Pasta of Newtown.
