  • Breakfast Fundraiser To Feature Pediatric Hospice Nurse

    The keynote speaker at the 25th annual Newtown Chapter Hospice Breakfast Fundraiser, Wednesday, June 11, will be Chris Mastropietro, RN, certified hospice and palliative nurse. Ms Mastropietro is the case manager for the Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western Connecticut for perinatal and pediatric hospice patients.

    A labor and delivery nurse for 11 years, Ms Mastropietro found that she was the nurse people would call when there was a fetal death. “So I left labor and delivery, and came to Hospice, ten years ago,” she said.

  • 25th Annual Hospice Breakfast Fundraiser Set For June 11

    MONROE — Marg Studley and Marie Sturdevant, co-chairpersons of the Newtown Chapter of Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western Connecticut, have announced that the annual fundraising and volunteer thank you breakfast will take place Wednesday, June 11, at The Waterview on Route 34, just over the Newtown line in Monroe.

  • New Regional Hospice Foundation Exec Brings Experience, Dedication To Job

    Paul L. Sirois was named executive director of Regional Hospice Foundation, the fundraising arm of Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western Connecticut, as of January 1.

    A financial planner for 17 years, most recently vice president and financial advisor for Union Savings Bank, Mr Sirois previously served as chairman of the Regional Hospice board.
