  • NUMC Pasta Project Celebrates 25 Years Before Summer Break

    The aromas of garlic bread and marinara sauce mingled in the Newtown United Methodist Church hall and kitchen Saturday night, while Pastor Mel Kawakami and Pasta Dinner founder Martha Millett greeted guests during the final dinner event of the season. Dinners, and their subsequent coffee house events, will resume in September.

  • NUMC Pasta Project & Coffeehouse This Weekend, And Beyond

    The next Saturday Pasta Dinner at Newtown United Methodist Church will take place on May 2 in the church’s fellowship hall, 92 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook. It will be the penultimate dinner of the 2014-15 season, which has been marking 25 years of food and community fellowship.

    The public is cordially invited to join church members for dinner, which is served from 5 to 7:30 pm

    Requested donation is $10 for adult dinners, and $9 for seniors, and $3.50 for children.

  • Silver Season Of NUMC Pasta Project Begins Tomorrow

    The next Saturday Pasta Dinner at Newtown United Methodist Church will take place on September 6 in the church’s fellowship hall, 92 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook. It is the first dinner of the 2014-15 season, which marks 25 years of food and community fellowship.

    The public is cordially invited to join church members for dinner, which is served from 5 to 7:30 pm

  • Pasta Dinner & Bluegrass Music At NUMC, Saturday

    The next Saturday Pasta Dinner at Newtown United Methodist Church will take place on April 5 in the church’s fellowship hall, 92 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook.

    The public is cordially invited to join church members for what has become an evening of fellowship and community spirit. The project is currently celebrating its 24th year of offering the dinners.

    Dinner is served from 5 to 7:30 pm with donation being $9, $8 for seniors, and $3.50 for children. Gift certificates are available.
