  • Four Performances Of Stardust Revue Displayed Talent And Energy

    The 63rd Stardust Revue, presented June 6-7 by Lathrop School Of Dance, offered four shows on the stage of Edmond Town Hall. The last number of each show brings their students together on stage for the show’s finale with all dancers, faculty and the audience singing “God Bless America,” signing off another successful year.     

  • Another Weekend Of ‘Best Show’ Performances By Lathrop Dancers

    It is not quite summer, but it is the first of June and in Newtown that means Lathrop School of Dance (LSoD) is prepared to present its annual Stardust Revue. Without a hitch, four performances flew by last weekend, with students performing four shows on the stage at Edmond Town Hall. On Saturday and Sunday, May 31-June 1, dancers were tapping and gliding over the stage, smiling as they enjoyed performing for their family and friends.

    VFW Commander James Rebman commented on Monday at the Memorial Day ceremony that he recalled watching Memorial Day parades way back in 1968 “and the guys with the funny hats.” Well, now Jamie, a veteran, is one of those guys in the funny hats, he observed, and Memorial Day has taken on a whole new meaning to him.
