    Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps members have moved in to their new ambulance garage with its driveway on Wasserman Way, and have already held training classes there. After more than a year of construction, the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Association’s (NVAA) Board of Trustees received the official certificate of occupancy for its new home of operations, and welcomes officials, first responders, and the public during two days this weekend.

  • Wasserman Way To Close To Through-Traffic During August 10-11 Overnight

    In conjunction with the construction of a new ambulance garage at Fairfield Hills for the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, a section of Wasserman Way will be closed to through-traffic for an estimated nine-hour period from the night of Sunday, August 10, until the morning of Monday, August 11, officials said.
