rma (Almonte) Renzoni, 90, of Trumbull, mother and friend, died April 30, with her loving family at her side. Born in Petoranno Sul Gizio, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Panfilo and Giuseppina (Delmonaco) Almonte and came to the United States in 1947.
Benjamin Alejandro Roman, 13, son of Suzanne Roman and brother of William Roman of Newtown, died at his home, May 1. Ben was a seventh grade student at Newtown Middle School where he enjoyed art and the orchestra. Ben had many friends and supportive teachers and advisors. He was an exceptionally keen naturalist, exploring the ponds and streams for frogs, salamanders, and newts, clamming and trapping crabs on Cape Cod, and fishing in Taunton Lake.
Helen M. Saren, 92, of Sandy Hook, died on her birthday, May 2, at her home. She was the wife of the late William Saren. She was born in Swoyersville, Penn., May 2, 1921, a daughter of Peter and Frances (Romanski) Stanishefski.
Betty (Locascio) Moro, 85, of Sandy Hook, died peacefully, April 29. She was the wife of the late Daniel Moro, whom she married on June 7, 1949. She was born in Mamaroneck, N.Y., January 29, 1928, the daughter of Santo and Lucia (Romeo) Locascio.
Myra J. Sheldon, 101, of Morningside in Milford, died April 17, at her home, with family at her side. Often called the “Matriarch of Morningside,” Mrs Sheldon was an early settler in that waterfront community. She was born October 2, 1911, in New Haven, the daughter of Bessie and Donald DeBritton Jacobs.
