Edwin John “Jack” Harrison, Jr, 73, of Newtown died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on May 30, the 50th wedding anniversary of his marriage to Beryl. He was born in Philadelphia May 1, 1941, the only son of Anna Peterson Harrison and Edwin John Harrison. His uncle was Eric Knight, author of Lassie Come Home, and he often talked of Eric’s dog, Toots, a Border collie that was the original Lassie.
Dorothy “Dottie” Johnson of Monroe, Trumbull, and Naples, Fla., died June 1. She was born in the Bronx, N.Y. Ms Johnson was a longtime resident of Trumbull and for 15 years, a part-time resident in Monroe. She also had 27 years of winter residence and was a member at the Foxfire Country Club Community in Naples.
Henry S. Kostka, 66, of Sandy Hook died May 30 in Danbury Hospital. Mr Kostka was the husband of Bonnie (Fesh) Kostka. He was born in Derby, September 7, 1947, a son of Beatrice (Scott) and Henry Kostka.
Elizabeth “Kitty” Strickland Dick, 85, of Trumbull died May 27. She was born in Milledgeville, Ga., to Esther and Hardy Strickland.
Her three children, Carol Anderson, and her husband Douglas, of Newtown, David, and his wife Nelly, of Bridgeport, and Michael of Oxford; her brother Carl Strickland, and his wife Jean, of Villa Rica, Ga.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Dick. Her husband of 60 years, Richard W. Dick, predeceased her.
Helen Starbuck Jones Moore, 92, of Southport died peacefully May 1 at The Greens, Wilton. She was born September 13, 1921, in Yonkers, N.Y., and was the daughter of Harriet Greenwood Snelling Starbuck and Frederick Irving Starbuck. She was the older sister of Mary “Polly” Starbuck Sipherd of Newtown. Her daughter, Tina Comfort Jones of Littleton, Colo., survives. Another daughter, Kathryn Starbuck “Star” Jones, predeceased her.

Rose L. DeBellis DeGuilio, 82, died May 22 at her home in Southbury. She was the wife of Joseph DeGuilio. A longtime resident of Eastchester, N.Y., she was born in the Bronx, August 12, 1931, to Antoinette (Carrozza) and Charles DeBellis, Sr.
