Gerard (“Jerry”) Carino, 87, of Danbury, beloved husband of Rose (DeVito) Carino, died peacefully at Laurel Ridge Nursing Home in Ridgefield on Sunday, June 30. He was born in Port Chester, N.Y., on November 2, 1925, son of the late Gerardo and Isabel Carino. Joseph E. Yanzo, Jr., age 71, of Newtown passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 30, surrounded by all of his children after a hard fought battle with Leukemia. He is survived by his daughter, Christine Bojarczyk and her husband Rick of Danbury; his son, Joseph E. Yanzo III of Torrington; his stepdaughters Dawn Maestro-Blom and her husband Jeff, and Debbie Maestro-Barrigas, all of Thomaston; a sister, Elaine Dwyer of Shelton; his six grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
