Adam R. Hicks, 37, of Meriden, the husband of Erica (Holbert) Hicks, died September 30. He was born July 25, 1977, in Danbury, and was the son of Robin Zigray of Danbury and the late Anthony Hicks, Sr. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr Hicks leaves his stepmother, Gina Hicks of Newtown; five children, Madison R. Hicks of Meriden, Zoe R. Hicks of Danbury, Renee Sturges of Bethel, Cassandra Jones of Danbury, and Adam Hicks, Jr, of Northport, Fla.; his brothers and sisters, William Smeriglio of Danbury, Tony Hicks, Jr, of Terryville, Andrea Kablen of Naugatuck, Somer Salazar of Naugatuck, and Curtis Hicks of Waterbury; as well as many first and second cousins.

Anna Karcsmaros Waller, 98, of Oxford, formerly of Bridgeport, beloved wife to the late Thomas Charles Waller, Sr, died September 22 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. The daughter of the late Joseph and Therese Fekete Karcsmaros, she lived most of her life in Bridgeport, before moving to Oxford, nine years ago.
A funeral and celebration of the life of Margaret Anne “Margy” Henderson will take place, Saturday, October 4, at 11 am, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 36 Main Street in Newtown. Interment will follow in the Trinity Memorial Garden. A former longtime Newtown resident, Ms Henderson died peacefully June 25, in Shelburne, Vt., surrounded by family, friends, and staff at Wake Robin.

Ralph Edward Jensen, 74, of Kyle, Texas, formerly of Newtown, died peacefully September 10, with family at his side, at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. He fought a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma for the past five years. Mr Jensen was born in Bridgeport, and was the son of the late Mabel and Aksel Jensen.
