Nelle Horsley Taylor, 88, of Bethel, formerly of Auburn, Ala. and Newtown, died peacefully, August 30, 2013. She joyfully celebrated her birthday with family and friends, just a week before her death. She was born August 16, 1925, in West Point, Ga., the daughter of Joseph Clifton and Nelle Williams Horsley, and grew up in Opelika, Ala.
Rocco F. Colavito, 84, of Sandy Hook, and previously of Katonah, N.Y., died peacefully, August 29. He was born July 7, 1929, in the Bronx, N.Y. Mr Colavito was the husband of the late Marilyn (Patrick) Colavito, who died in 1991, after 32 years of marriage.
John Francis McKeever III, 79, of Sandy Hook, died peacefully at home, August 28, after a 13-year courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Greenwich, October 19, 1933, the son of John and Esther McKeever.
