Gladys Emma Phillips, 94, of Roseland, Fla., died December 7, at Sebastian River Medical Center. She was born in Waterbury, resided in New Haven, and then moved to the lakeside community of Shady Rest in Sandy Hook.
Walter “Walt” John Castings, 64, of Woodbury, died December 9, at St Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury, with his loving wife Katie Coad by his side. He was born in Pawtucket, R.I., November 29, 1949, and was the son of the late Donald and Norma (Ware) Castings.
Ilene Ethel (Beck) Iassogna, 75, beloved wife and best friend of Joseph B. Iassogna for 53 years, died peacefully in the company of her family, at Keepsake Village - The Hearth in Southbury, December 27, ending her courageous nine-year battle with multiple myeloma and 12 years of Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in New Brunswick, N.J. and was raised by her parents, G. Paul and Ethel (Nagy) Beck, in Highland Park, N.J.
Winnifred “Winnie” M. McMahon, RN, 87 of Derby, wife of the late James T. McMahon, died December 9, at the Jewish Home for the Elderly, Fairfield. She was born in New York, NY, March 7, 1926, and was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (McDonald) O’Keefe.
Tracy Jean McCarroll Fisher, 50, of New Milford, died unexpectedly November 28. She was born in Danbury, July 29, 1963, and was the daughter of the late Timothy McCarroll and the late Gail McCarroll Heneghan.
William E. Saint, 85, of Southbury, husband of Frances M. (LaDelfa) Saint, died November 30, at his residence. He was born in Canton, Ohio, November 8, 1928, son of William Russell and Lyda (Marshall) Saint.
