    A memorial service for Travis Richard Long, who died earlier this year, will be held on Saturday, April 20, at 3 pm.

  • The Rev Stephen Hale Gushée

    The Rev Stephen Hale Gushée, 76, priest, columnist, television moderator, and devoted husband and father, died April 6, after a months-long battle with bladder cancer. He was born in Detroit, in 1936. Mr Gushée was rector of Trinity Church in Newtown, from 1970 until 1978.

  • Jane McManus

    Jane McManus, 83, of Denver, Colo. and formerly of Ridgefield, died peacefully, April 7, with her sons by her side, after a long bout of Alzheimer’s. She was born November 14, 1929, in Utica, N.Y.

  • Nancy Swanson McCloskey

    Nancy Swindon McCloskey, 60, of Newtown, died March 1. She was born March 2, 1952, to John and Agnes Swindon.

  • Christian J. Vossen

    Christian J. Vossen, 56, of Bethel, died at his home, April 3, after a long illness. Born February 2, 1957 in Ougree, Belgium, he was the son of the late Hubert and MaryJeanne (Borlez) Vossen.

  • Geraldine T. Wojciechowski

    Geraldine T. “Honey” Wojciechowski, 83, of Newtown, died April 3, in Candlewood Valley Health Care Center, New Milford. She was the wife of Chester A. Wojciechowski, whom she married on December 2, 1950. She was born in Hamtramck, Mich., January 22, 1930, the daughter of Jacob and Marie (Balcar) Thomas.

  • Elizabeth Ann McNulty Briscoe

    Elizabeth Ann McNulty Briscoe, 47, of Newtown, died peacefully, March 31, at Norwalk Hospital, after a heroic ten-year battle with breast cancer. She was the wife of Patrick C. Briscoe. She was born in White Plains, N.Y., December 5, 1965, a daughter of John and Geraldine (Griffin) McNulty of Newtown.

  • Gertrude Gallotello

    Gertrude (Cuomo) Gallotello, 82, of Danbury, died peacefully, April 1, following a short illness. She was the beloved wife of 61 years to Peter, who pre-deceased her in November 2011. Born in Manhattan in 1930, she was the beloved daughter of the late Gennaro and Marianne (DiIorio) Cuomo.

  • William F. Werner, Jr

    William F. Werner, Jr, 70, of Milford, Penn., formerly of Danbury and Sandy Hook, died March 25. He was born September 22, 1942, in Seattle, Wash., the son of William, Sr and Effie (Slegel) Werner.

  • Sophie Bajor Brown

    Sophie (Bajor) Brown, 88, of Shelton, died Friday, March 29, in her home, with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Tulon Brown. She was born in Derby July 17, 1924, daughter of the late Martin and Mary Bajor, and was a Shelton resident for 63 years.
