• Sandy Hook Volunteer Honored With Scouting’s Highest Adult Award

    MILFORD — David Barrett of Sandy Hook was recognized along with six other volunteers with the Silver Beaver award at the Connecticut Yankee Council’s Annual Recognition Dinner in January. The Silver Beaver is the highest adult award that can be presented by the local council.

    For 20 Newtown High School students, Tuesday, February 5, marked graduation from high school. An event was held in the school’s cafetorium to recognize the students during a midyear graduation ceremony.
