Helen F.      Chiaramonte

Helen F. Chiaramonte, 91, of North Salem, N.Y., died December 29, in Danbury.

Mrs Chiaramonte was the mother of Thomas Chiaramonte of Newtown.

Mrs Chiaramonte was born February 21, 1909 in Mendon, Vt., to Adolf and Mary (Chorzempa) Frankiewicz. She had graduated from Rutland High School in Rutland, Vt., and also St Catherine’s Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs Chiaramonte married Dr C. Thomas Chiaramonte on October 15, 1932 in Rutland, Vt. Dr Chiaramonte died June 18, 1979.

Mrs Chiaramonte was a nurse receptionist for many years within her husband’s practice in Danbury. She later belonged to the Brewster and North Salem Senior Citizens. Mrs Chiaramonte was a summer resident of North Salem from 1950 to 1962 before moving there permanently. She had lived in Jamaica Estates, N.Y.

Mrs Chiaramonte is survived by three other sons, Dr Gregory Chiaramonte of Staatsburg, N.Y., Dr John Chiaramonte of Mt. Kisco, N.Y. and Joseph Chiaramonte of Sherman; three daughters, Mary Ann Siegert of Skillman, N.J., Dr Rita Sinnamon of Durham and Irene D’Agostino of Montauk, N.Y.; three sisters, Sophie Connors or Rutland, Vt., Stella Porter of Schnectady, N.Y., and Mary Frances Riordan of Rutland, Vt.; 21 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on January 3 at St Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster. Interment was in St Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery, Brewster.

Contributions in her memory may be made to St Lawrence O’Toole Church, 31 Prospect Street, Brewster, N.Y.

The Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, was in charge of arrangements.
