The Be Well Center Pampers Women in January

WATERBURY — During the month of January, The Be Well Center of Waterbury Hospital is pampering women with gift certificates to Bath & Body Works when they have their annual mammogram at the Brass Mill Center mall facility.

“January marks the second time we’ve partnered with Bath & Body Works,” said Carole Melton, manager of The Be Well Center and chief mammography technologist. “Women really appreciate being rewarded for having their annual exam.”

In addition to the Bath & Body Works gift certificate, women having mammograms during January will also receive a coupon for $5 off a full body massage at The Be Well Center. The one-hour massage is performed by appointment by a licensed massage therapist.

The Be Well Center is located on the main level of the mall, across from the food court. The Center performs screening mammography six days a week, including Saturdays and evenings. No appointment is necessary. A prescription in not required; however, the woman must have a physician to whom the results of the mammogram may be sent.

The Be Well Center also performs prescription blood work. Fasting and non-fasting cholesterol testing is available without a prescription for $20 and $10 respectively. Glucose tests are also available without a prescription and cost $10. The results of cholesterol and glucose tests are sent directly to the patient within three to five business days. A full explanation of the test results is included.
