As Newtown’s Director of Music Michelle Hiscavitch said while welcoming Newtown High School students to the school’s auditorium on December 20, the day’s event was “a snapshot” of what the high school’s music department has to offer.

The “Winter Concert Showcase” was held during the part of the day’s schedule for the school’s Connections program.

Music students, under the guidance of teachers, performed a range of music for the packed auditorium.

The event began with a performance by percussion students. Next, recorded compositions created by music technology students played. The event included performances by orchestra students, chorus students, and band students.
