Winterthur Will Host Conference On ‘Quilts In A Material World’ March 31

WINTERTHUR, DEL. — A special, one-day conference on “Quilts in a Material World” will be held March 31, timed to coincide with the Winterthur’s special exhibition with the same title opening March 10. Short lectures will explore such varied topics as Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century women’s history; historic quilts from America and France; and contemporary quilt design and collecting.

Optional pre- and postconference workshops, March 30 and April 1, are also being offered.
