Senior Financial Officer For Global Companies

Anne-Marie (Boidi) Avetisyan, 48, of Newtown, died December 25, as a result of a car accident.

Born in Bourges, France, she was employed with Dorel Industries, Inc as the global chief financial officer of the recreational/leisure segment, which includes Cycling Sports Group in Bethel, Pacific Cycle in Madison, Wis., and SUGOI Performance Apparel in Burnaby, British Columbia.

 She held various senior financial positions during her career with The Timberland Company in France, Italy, and Asia Pacific; and Levi Strauss & Company, in Europe and San Francisco. 

She was the loving daughter of Joseph Mario Boidi and Marie Therese (Aniorte) Boidi of France; devoted wife of Alexey Avetisyan; and loving mother of her son, Emmanuel Avetisyan, of Newtown; and dear sister to Philippe, Laurent, and Frederique. Several nieces and nephews, all of France, also survive Ms Avetisyan.

The family will be holding funeral services in France, at a date to be determined.
