In addition, businesses that decide to close early — or even open late — are invited to contact Miss Hicks with those details. Announcements will be added to this page, and sent out through social media, as they arrive.

*As of 10 am: Tonight’s Relay For Life of Newtown Kick-Off event has been postponed.

“We will notify you of the new date/time/location when it has been confirmed,” RFL-Newtown 2014 Chair Chris Farrington posted on the event’s Facebook page this morning. “Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you at the Kick-Off once it is rescheduled!

“In the meantime, we would love to see more teams registered. Remember, any teams registered prior to kick-off, and whose team captain(s) attend the Kick-Off, will receive their Team Captain shirts at the March team captain meeting!!” the post continued.

*Also, due to school being cancelled, tonight’s RIS 6th Grade Band Winter Concert will be performed on its snowdate, February 13.
